Writers' Retreat

Creative non-fiction writers' retreat afloat

Join me in Greece for a one or two-week private or semi-private creative non-fiction writing retreat on board Eidos, my 32-foot sailboat. If you want some personalized attention while you work on your manuscript, I  can help you achieve your goals.

You are welcome on board, where you can enjoy healthy, vegetarian, home cooked meals as well as some local restaurant options. You can sit in the cockpit or hang out in the hammock on deck and watch the sunset while sipping a glass of wine or sparkling water. You can take the dinghy out for a row, or jump in the sea for a swim. At anchor, we have a waterfront view all around the boat.

Your accommodation will be the v-berth with a privacy door and some storage space.

Here is a sample schedule of your day on board:

07:00  -08:00breakfast on board

08:00 - 12:00 private workshop with a coffee break
12:00 - 13:00 lunch
13:00 - 18:00 free time... you can write, explore, swim, nap or we will sail.
18:00 dinner on board or in a restaurant.

Some days we will sail to another island to anchor or tie up in a village harbour, but there will be days when we will stay in one place so that you can explore on land. I can also teach you to sail if you like.

This is not a charter, and there is no cost for this retreat and cruise, but we will be sharing the work on board, as well as expenses for food, fuel, marina fees and so on.

For more information, please take a look at my profile on Workaway as I sometimes have a helper on board who works in the mornings doing maintenance work instead of writing. Also, feel free to check my sailing blog especially information about my boat.

If this is something you would be interested in, check the calendar for available dates beginning in April and then send me a message with a link to your website or blog using the contact form on the side of this page.
